We are officially ready for a great school year! 

PS: the nails didn’t make it to the first school day.  They were a little too long and a little too pointy (as Mom initially suggested, side note)!

Co-Curricular Student Leader Panel

Caleb had the honor of being selected for the first ever student leader panel at the Co-Curricular Meeting!

Caleb and his XC co-captain Sam have done such a nice job of building “team” this summer!

Volunteering (Sole Shoe Making, Churches United, Great Plains Food Bank)

Captains Week (ultimate frisbee, night run with bonfire, Sandy’s donuts run, pool party, Spikeball, Loony Daze 5K and Lake Day)

and then a pancake feed to celebrate the first full week of official practice!

FJ Jerry

Dad (Jerry) has been shopping for a fixer upper for him and the boys.

The transaction in Devils Lake sounded a little bit questionable when Bumpa reflected, “I told Caleb that no matter what happens here, you run,” but in the end

FJ Jerry was born

A 1973 Toyota FJ Cruiser

Dad drove it home from Devils Lake without the best muffler (no worries, his hearing was already compromised)

The girls insisted on being picked up from Chinese School in the FJ.  Mom insisted that the mud flaps with icky silhouettes be removed prior to.

Caleb learned how to drive a stick and Dad was shocked that Mom already knew how!  Yep, Mom dusted off her Gackle farm girl skills!

And now we have the coolest ice cream and grocery getter in town!
