It was a boo-tiful night for trick or treating!

Caleb thought he was too cool for trick or treating, but in the end decided to put his cool status aside and collect some sugar!

Jayne gave Halloween hugs for each piece of candy she received :) 

Mark’s legs were tired before we rang the first doorbell.

Brynn looked into her bag and squealed with excitement after every house, and

Luke and his banana had extreme urgency to find his friends…he could hardly stick with us long enough to capture a quick pre-trick or treating picture.

A Spooktacular day…all of our ghosts and goblins got wore out and were in bed earlier than normal! 

And tomorrow we leave for a week in Florida!  Let the fun continue!

Dancing Princess

Brynn and her friend, Lydia, attended Kids In Motion with Penny and Pals this morning.  At the end of the class, the kids put on a show for their families!

Brynn introducing herself,

“I’m B-wynn.  I’m going to be a P-wincess for Halloween.”

 

And after a successful introduction, she became a dancing P-wincess!

Extra special treat, Max and Kate were able to join our Zoo Crew!

The animals were putting on a show…keeping all of our eyes peeled!

Annual pumpkin carving event…Emphasis on EVENT!

1st) The pumpkins must be perfect!

Does it get any more perfect than Papa receiving them as a gift after he helped a couple harvest their whole pumpkin crop?  Uff, thank you Papa!

2nd) Pattern selection is crucial.  Some select the “difficult” pattern and then are too thirsty to contribute much to executing the “difficult” pattern.

3rd) Partner selection is equally as crucial as pattern selection.

 

 

4th) Do not hesitate to work alone.

   

5th) Stay well nourished.

6th) Persistence.  Haste makes waste.

  

7th) Improvise your pattern to impress the audience.

 

8th) Marvel at your Jack-Oh My Awesome-Lantern

Yep, everyone seems to like decorating Halloween cupcakes,

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

but Kate.  In fact, Kate dislikes decorating Halloween cupcakes so badly that she darn near gave her mom, auntie and gramma a heart attack when she pushed herself backwards on her barstool coming to a firm stop on the floor.  Side note, Kate hates shoulder X-rays more than she hates Halloween cupcakes, so I think there is still a chance she could become a cupcake superstar!

 

Great results at the walk in clinic…no broken bones and the doctor reassured Kate’s mom and auntie that “these things happen.”  Uff, our hearts still do not feel well!

And great (and tasty) results in the kitchen!
