State Track

Off to a great start with vintage warm ups and new Spartan shoes for Mom!

Caleb didn’t run the mile, Mason didn’t run the 400…saving themselves for the 4 x 800 and hoping for 1st place and the school record.

Missed both by 0.4 seconds.

Rained so much that Mom didn’t wear her new shoes.

Caleb should of/could of placed in the two mile, but dropped out due to a side cramp.

Boy, the weekend didn’t go as we had hoped, but then you reflect on those we spent the weekend with and the fact that the parents relay was re-throned as parking lot relay champs against Northern Cass.  And in the end, we won the weekend! 

Lucky are we to have Spartan track as our village raising our kids!

 

 

But not gonna lie, next year we are hoping for hardware with our positive reflections!

Marathon Week!

What a week!

Volunteering for the Youth Run

Warming up with winter layers and practice high fives with Caleb!  Poor Florida Cousins!

  

One of the lead runners knocking Jack’s bomber glove off, stopping, picking up the glove, giving it back to Jack and saying “Sorry about that!”

  

And running a couple miles with Uncle Matt when it mattered the most!  Show Biz~Dad!

Mark~distance and so thankful Mom got him a new PE shirt.  Caleb and Luke’s PE shirts, that Mom wanted him to re-purpose, were cotton!  Shudder.  Can you imagine a distance race in cotton?

Caleb~distance---qualified by time in the 4 x 800, one mile and two mile

Luke~distance---huge PRs in every race he ran, but has to wait a whole year to break 5 in his mile!
