“What were you thinking Mom???”

Over and over for several days, the boys said to me, “What were you thinking Mom???” when they heard that Train was going to be performing for Sanford employees, and I had neglected to get my 4 free tickets :\ After explaining that I had no clue who Train was, I quickly got on the waiting list.  Days passed and no tickets from the waiting list, soooooo I put out the panic email…can anyone make this mom go from a zero to a hero by giving me any extra Train tickets you may have?

And in no time the BRIGHT sun came out thanks to my co-workers, and we were all aboard the Train!!!

 

It was a GREAT night…we were happy to show our Sanford pride!

 

And we were happy to sing and dance to Train!

 

There was also a huge and awesome fireworks show during the last song…so much fun was had that the boys could hardly sleep when they got home! Yahoo!

And the gold medal goes to…

For the second year in a row, we ended the Babe Ruth baseball season with a family wiffle ball game (kids vs parents) and root beer floats!

Mama Yokom loves a good party with super fun friends!

The kids came to the game ready…their bats were swinging!

 

    

                  

 

The kids definitely had first base covered courtesy of Anna’s magnetic ways!

  

Some of the kids even tried to slow down our base runners!

    

The kids were stealing bases

 

and throwing strikes, but

in the end, Daddy Atkins announced Kids 10, Parents 11…AKA gold medal goes to the moms and the dads.

The kids have demanded a recount.

To think, they would accuse us of a miscount!!!

Remember when Luke was just happy doing puzzles?

Now his social calendar strongly competes with Caleb’s!  Luke and his friends Logan and Hawkeye!

He often gets a GREAT IDEA, and he is not scared to execute the great idea and then show it off!

 

And move over puzzles, because I am catching baseballs at Newman field now!

 

Penny and Pals with special guest appearances by…

We took the kids (Mark, Jayne, Brynn, Brody, Kate and Abby Jenkins) to Penny and Pals at Trollwood on Wednesday evening...an awesome concert with awesome special guest appearances.

1st special guests…Dancing with the Stars contestants Fall 2012…Kate Hudson and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

 

2nd special guest (stage worthy)…Nickelback!  Sadly, Auntie Melissa’s non-iphone was unable to capture the guitarists scissor kick.  Maybe in the future Auntie Melissa’s phone will be fancy enough to catch all of Mama Yokom’s moves!!

50 cents for a Hole in One!

Boy is Papa’s wallet sorry he promised the kids 50 cents per hole in one because our putters were HOT!!

and in the end, we had to
