“Y” our swimming pool and our last name (Quote Brynn Yokom)
Caleb loves to drive us to the Y
And the kids love the swimming pool!
What a great way to spend our time this winter!

“Our spot” for hunting, finding and sawing down our Christmas tree is becoming residential lots! This resulted in slim pickings for our Christmas tree. Not a big deal, except our feet got wet and cold, making the prolonged search for “our tree” a chilly endeavor!
Searching with wet and cold feet…
Finding (questionable) with wet and cold feet…
Jackpot with wet and cold feet…
The saws clearly were not sharpened for the final season…
so Mom asked a tree farm “friend” if we could borrow their saw!
Victory with wet and cold feet…
Mark guarding the tree, with wet and cold feet, while Dad pulled up the trailer! We were not going to search for another perfect tree with wet and cold feet!
“Tomorrow is going to be a blast because our house is going to be so full!” Brynn Yokom, 11/23/2016
And she was right…Thanksgiving 2016
1st Thanksgiving Calvin and Sam! #Love
So thankful for this full house!
Throwing a parade on Brynn’s Birthday…Fargo, you shouldn’t have!
A little rain kept the crowds down
but it didn’t keep our fun or loads and loads of candy down!
What a way to celebrate our birthday girl and the start of the Christmas season!
We have spotted Santa!
Happiest of Birthdays to our Penguin Lovin’ and
Patriot Fan Lovin’ Eight Year Old!
Baby of the family is the perfect role for you, and you know it! You know no rules, you make us belly laugh every day, and you are beyond adorable in everything you do and say.
In fact, we are so weak for you that Daddy will retrieve a recycled birthday balloon for you without a second thought!
We cannot imagine us without YOU! We love you to pieces 8 year old!
Luke was selected to tune his 7th grade orchestra…of course he was
Luke NAILED a solo, a lengthy solo…of course he did
So proud! Luke did say, “My hands were a little sweaty during that solo.”
Mom said, “Of course they were!”
Caleb played hooky from school for part of the morning to…
get a number at the DMV
and ACE his permit test!
You’ve been warned :)
His smile seems to say “I am pretty happy about this permit thing and plan to practice as much as possible!”
After the first practice, Dad texted Mom “He drives fast…like you. Not sure I am going to teach him. Makes me nervous.”
Vrrroooommmm Caleb…me and you :)
Caleb ended his cross country season at the Nike Regional Race in Sioux Falls!
Pasta Feed ~ Per Caleb, “And the food was really good.”
Great Fans for Mr. Y-o-k-o-m
Kettle Corn for the fans!
Oh and Caleb is the second fastest 8th grader in the Midwest :)
We celebrated a great race and a great season with a trip to the Sioux Falls Zoo!
What a way to end a great year!
