When the afternoon bell rang today at the school, you could hear the kids in the hallways shouting “Freedom!”
Freedom is another word for “School is out for the Summer”!
Last day of school photo shoot!
Late bedtime last night, early morning courtesy of the excitement of the day lead to a rocky start to the photo shoot…
Luckily, Mark was able to rally!
Freedom from 6th grade…Caleb is ready for 7th grade!
Freedom from 2nd grade…Jayne is ready for 3rd grade!
Freedom from kindergarten…Brynn is ready for 1st grade!
Freedom from 2nd grade…Mark is ready for 3rd grade!
Freedom from 5th grade…Luke is ready for Junior High!
Freedom!
I have ordered a new T-shirt. It reads, “The month of May threatens to kill all mothers.” Soooooooo many extra “things” go into Mom’s reminders to “celebrate” the last month of school. Career day this day, water bottle this day, 5$ this day, sunscreen this day and on and on and on.
BUT…we have SURVIVED yet again, and with three days of school left we can say we are “Ready for Summer!”
All of our classes have been passed, including our most recent hunter earning his official hunter’s safety hat!
All of the “fun days” have been celebrated, including crazy hair day!
All of the art work has made its way home, including Brynn’s most recent masterpiece. As Gramma Rose says, “I’m telling you, she has talent.”
Mom calls this piece, “The beauty of art is in the pants eye of the beholder.”
Brynn calls this piece, “Hot air balloons flying over a city.” And she also claims, “Everyone’s looked exactly like mine.”
All of the musicals, concerts and programs have been performed!
And the unannounced sleepovers have begun…
We are ready for summer!
It has been an amazingly beautiful spring…It is funny how warm temps, green grass and minimal wind make Saturday morning soccer so much more enjoyable!
As an additional bonus to the weather, Luke’s soccer team is also really good! Double Yay!
