Of note, Brody’s stamina and effort were top notch with his fans in the crowd! IMG_6281

we were off for a pizza party to celebrate ANOTHER 6 year old in our family!

Trey Trey!!

IMG_3782

That makes three 6 years olds (Jayne, Mark and Trey)…which goes great with our three 3 year olds (Brynn, Jorie and Brody)!!

It is FINAL!

The judge has spoken…

IMG_3749

Jayne’s adoption is officially finalized!

Lots of family came for the BIG event.  In fact, the judge was a little surprised at the crowd in the courtroom!  He said, “I was expecting around six people.  I was not expecting the whole town of Fargo.”

  IMG_3750

Well, our families love any reason to party!

And I cannot think of a sweeter reason to celebrate…

Thursday Night Lights

Luke, and his fellow Bears, spent Thursday night under the lights playing some flag football!

Luke’s fans were great in quantity, but not really great in quality!

These 3 fans spent a good portion of the game looking cute (obviously), snacking and in the bathroom.  Caleb (not pictured) spent a good portion of the game playing a side game of football.  Bumpa and Gramma attempted to watch the game when they were not being harassed by the other fans.  AND, although the football game was under the lights…it is good to mention that despite the sun going down and the darkness that followed, the lights never actually came on :)

Question of the day?!*

Is it still cool to go with the TOUGH look

when no one else on your team goes with the TOUGH look?

BIG Day

Caleb got 1st place at the 4th/5th grade Cross Country meet!!!

IMG_3677

Dad tolerated the event, Mom was pumped to hear all about the fun.  Yep, Mom got to only hear about the event because Mom was told, “No one’s parents go to these things.”  WELL, come to find out plenty of parents go to these “things”, and I won’t miss another chance to run all over the course cheering on my runner.  Of note, Caleb said I can come next time if I promise not to be so loud.

Two Yokoms got their wings today…lady bug wings that is!

IMG_3675IMG_3676

And one Yokom channeled the inner hair dresser in herself…

IMG_3672

YEP…Brynn gave herself bangs.

Mom cannot help but note that we have been working on getting rid of bangs since April 26, 2010 (Gotcha day), and Mom cannot help but note that the bangs were on Dad’s clock.

Playing ball in the fall!

Having been the fan at several spring and fall sports, I have learned some things…

If you don’t need gloves and a stocking cap,

1) Enjoy every minute of the game and cheer really loud in case your lips are frozen at the next game.

2) Take your camera, and take enough pictures to remember the event in case you take no more pictures the rest of the season.

3) 80 degrees, no wind, a lawn chair, some sunflower seeds…now that is my idea of Fall Ball!!

If at first you don’t succeed…

Try, try again!

Jayne fell in love with the monkey bars a couple of weeks ago.  She is SO determined to master them that she spends the entire recess and any after school time we spend at the playground attempting to master the monkey bars.

She has spent so much time and given so much effort that the palms of her hands have big blisters on them!

One of these days she is going to master the monkey bars…and at that moment, it will have been worth every blister.  But until that moment, if at first you don’t succeed try, try again!

“Cwy, Daddy, Cwy!”

IMG_3621

“Cwy, Daddy, Cwy”

Yep, that is what our princess requested as we dropped her off for her first day of preschool!

After all, should not the princess be able to demand a tear or two?!*

When an adequate number of 1st day of school pictures had been taken, Brynn enjoyed a tasty back to school breakfast…

  IMG_3608IMG_3609

a muffin and her morning coffee (of course)!

Then, Brynn was set for a happy first day of preschool!

 IMG_3628

Nothing to Cwy about because our baby was ready and super excited to go (and go again the next day) to preschool.

And although neither dad or mom cwied, when you take your baby to her first day of preschool you do pause (just for a minute) and wish you could slow down time…

Lucky are we to be on this ride of watching our handful get big…Oh the places they’ll go!

Let me guess…

The last few weeks, the boys (yes, this includes our dad) have been working diligently at planning a man cave in the basement.  Previously the basement has been all toy room.  The toys did not mind squishing a little closer together to make room for our hand-me-down flat screen TV from our neighbor (jack pot!).  With the TV mounted,

the snacks dished up and

IMG_3637

the water bottles full…

IMG_3636

all that remained was a comfy seat for all to sit in.

~~JACK POT~~

And when dad and mom were purchasing 5 of the most fun bean bag chairs that we had ever seen, another customer said,

“Let me guess, you run a day care.”

WHAT?!*  don’t all families need 5 bean bag chairs and a tray to deliver their snacks to a man cave?!*

Side note, Dad has since returned to the store for ANOTHER bean bag chair for himself :)
