An amazing vacation of run, snorkel, swim…REPEAT!
Snorkeling the reefs of Grand Cayman is a real treat. What most people do not realize is how easy it really is to just jump in the water from shore and enjoy first class underwater beauty.
A favorite:
Cemetery Beach
There are many places to snorkel in the Cayman Islands, but Cemetery Reef off of Cemetery Beach is in the top ten. This reef is located just 30 yards off shore, making it very easy for people to get to without a boat.

Spotts Beach is famous for the high number of wild turtles. It is very common to see green sea turtles swimming through the shallow waters as you snorkel here.
The wind direction resulted in less sea turtles than Spotts Beach is known for…Luke saved the day with this find…
Macabuca is Grand Cayman’s premier ocean front tiki bar and grill. Located in West Bay, on the North West point of the Island, Macabuca is the place to be for all of your rest and relaxation needs. Stop in for lunch or a casual dinner and enjoy the best view the Caribbean has to offer.
Macabuca offers one of the best shore diving and snorkeling locations on the Island.
We enjoyed conch appetizers!
And we enjoyed homemade desserts…frozen key lime pie and oreo ice cream sandwiches!
Someone had to order a replacement dessert…
Dad, Caleb, Luke and Jayne partook in the shore diving after lunch and dessert!
Lighthouse Point
Just a short swim from shore, snorkellers can enjoy the mini wall and Lighthouse Point’s thriving reef. You’ll also see the Guardian of the Reef statue.
The Guardian of the Reef statue was rather deep and hard to appreciate but there was cool reef to and from the statue.
