Splish, Splash AWESOME!
Yep, this was our backyard for the week!!!
We spent countless hours in “our pool”, and Jayne learned to swim today!!

It’s official…Uncle Brett and Auntie Gina are married!!
A perfect wedding!!
The setting was an overlook on the Guy Fleming Trail in the Torrey Pines State Reserve. To get to the ceremony you had to walk up and down and wind a little bit on a well groomed dirt trail for about 10 minutes. The path to the wedding site, the wedding itself and now the marriage of two of our favorite people was nothing less than perfect!
We were all SO HAPPY to be there!
And in the end…
Caleb and Luke concluded they are never getting married.
Jayne and Brynn both shook their heads without a second thought…their nods said, “OH YES, we are getting married!”
And Mark said, “I had to close my eyes during all that kissing.”
A great day for our family which now officially includes Gina!
Let round two of Luke and his map begin as we enter the San Diego Zoo!
Putting a positive spin on the map obsession…we are extremely lucky that Uncle Brett and Auntie Gina have the patience to analyze and RE-analyze the map on an as needed basis. We are also extremely lucky that no one else in the party cares where we go and when we go because map man does not budge from his plan.
Map man led us by foot and by double decker bus.
Along winding paths and up and down the steep terrain of the zoo.
We saw animals from near and far
Some animals were in natural habitats and
some animals were kept way up high and fenced in!
All of the animals were rewarded for good behavior.
And Jack-a-roo was all smiles about his new nickname, but also quick to point out
“No, I Jack Berseth”
Auntie never got sick of calling him Jack-a-roo and Jack never got angry or tired of correcting me…
“No, I Jack Berseth”
Not sure how many two year olds know their last name, but our Jack-a-roo does and it was super adorable!
