It’s official…our whole family is BIG ski run material! Yep, lodge and bunny hill mom has officially retired!
We had a great time Saturday…skiing in 30 degree weather…run after run all seven of us for nine hours.
Then there was a 50 degree swing in temp!
Sunday was –20 degrees plus 10-15 mph winds. When we arrived at the ski hill, they had signs posted that they would be closing at 4:30 due to “frigid temps”!
Today we proved that you can ski in ANY conditions if you are dressed appropriately (expose NO skin) and if you stay well nourished~

and these happy faces skied in the frigid temps until they shut the hill down!
And as dad said, “You will tell this story for a very long time…the day you proved you can ski in any conditions.”
Our Elf on the Shelf always turns a little naughty the closer it gets to Christmas. This morning we woke up to the house being toilet papered. Elf even TP’d the lockers with notes to the kids…
All of the notes said “nice” except Luke’s note on his locker said “undecided”.
Luke was shocked stating, “And I was REALLY nice yesterday.” He then went on to state all of the nice things he had done the previous day. We concluded he had been upgraded from naughty to undecided courtesy of his good deeds.
Clearly Santa has been nice enough to enjoy a treat fit for a king when he got to the Yokom House!
