Strong start for our Spartan XC runners!
2 Meets; 4 Top Ten Performances; 2 Much Fun 4 Us!
Two weeks ago, Luke said “I am ready to go back to school.” It was at this moment that Mom realized, they ARE ready. The first day of school is about them being ready not Mom being sad that her Mom job years are flying by! Mom is humbled; Mom is enlightened; you 5 are ready!
School year 2017-18 here they come!
8th Grade for Luke!
Luke had a great first day, and I am pretty certain already has his entire freshman curriculum penciled out ensuring he can take the most advanced classes that strategizing the hours in his day will allow!
9th Grade for Caleb!
If the amount of talking we heard after day one is any indication of how the day went, Caleb had a great first day!
5th Grade for Mark and Jayne! Mrs. Mezzenga’s class!
Mark and Jayne are back in the same section of 5th grade! They were surprised to have “flexible seating” when they got to their classroom and would strategize how they were going to get the perfect seat by the perfect classmate a majority of the evening. They had a great first day…getting to bed early to ensure an early wake up time/arrival at school (AKA “getting the right seat”) the next day!
We had so much fun when Cousin Theo and Cousin Ellyn came to visit!
We did our very best to replace Theo’s favorite food “avocado” with “S’mores”
Doing an outdoor movie two nights in a row proved to be a bit too exhausting for one Yokom!
Last one to leave had the most fun, right?
Outdoor Movie…Campers!
Girl’s tent and Boy’s tent…Campers!
Lights Out at Midnight.
Boy’s tent: Campers until a “tummy ache” at 1:20 am
Girl’s tent: Campers until a “spider” at 5:21 am
City camping is so fun! When a tummy ache or spider strikes, your bed is steps away!
We love “camping!”
We may have lost count of how many scoops of lemonade we added…irresistible tartness
Dancing to increase the irresistibility…no extra charge
A top notch, irresistible lemonade and icee stand!
The parent that was “less embarrassing than Dad” was asked to go to high school orientation today.
One of us is happy about going to high school; one of us is…well, not happy.
Mom was able to keep her emotions in check today…no promises for 14 days from now when we will see Caleb off to start his last four years of school.
It’s been great watching you get to this big…here is to more greatness! Go Spartan Go!
