Halloween was King Sized Fun!
Halloween 2016
Brynn the farsighted penguin (she prefers to have her glasses on the outside of her mask), Wink Wink Jayne, Mark from Wentzylvania (He did the math for his Halloween costume. 25$ from himself, 25$ from Mom and 25$ from Dad…and boom a Carson Wentz jersey for a small donation by three people!) and Where is Waldo Caleb and Luke (the big boys are still kind of humoring Mom’s needs)!
These two…Mrs. Holter and Jayne!
Boo!
Remember when pumpkin carving meant all hands on deck, needing extra adult hands and extra patience for five pumpkins to get carved?
Now, the kids “research up” their pumpkin carving templates on the internet and tackle their pumpkins on their own with minimal adult supervision and intervention!
And soon we will say, remember when Luke spent 3.5 hours on his masterpiece with no nutrition, hydration or bathroom breaks…
And don’t worry, Luke already has his next year pumpkin planned. Wonder how much time we should set aside?!*
A day in the life of the Yokom house.
Brynn assisting Mom with purse shopping and certain that the one with all of the tassels is definitely “it”!
Luke sneaking a literal ice pack into his pants and Mom not noticing until we are sitting in the lobby prior to his flu shot.
Of note, he felt no pain. Courtesy of the ice pack no doubt.
Too, too much fun!
Caleb’s State Cross Country Performance was announcement worthy!
Awesome run; awesome year! He loves it, so we love it!

Today is a "D" Day.
This week’s Word of the Week is Assess. Assess means to estimate or judge the value of someone or something. Mrs. Clites uses science lab reports to assess students’ understanding of the concept.
7th/8th grade girls: Basketball starts today. Seventh graders will practice in Gym 1 at 3:45 and 8th graders will practice at Roosevelt at 4:00. Sixth grade volleyball will practice in Gym 2.
Congratulations to the following Ben Franklin Cross Country members on a great job at the State Cross Country Meet in Jamestown on Saturday:
Caleb Yokom – finished 23rd
Isabelle Puhl finished 19th and
Grace Dorsher finished 76th.
Excellent work runners!
Now that cross country season is over, Caleb has moved right into training for the regional cross country meet in Sioux Falls in mid November and has found a new passion for triathlon training…biking every where and hoping for a YMCA swimming pass for his birthday. He makes us tired just watching him bike, run and swim…all at a fast pace!
EDC Cross Country - A Banner Day!
Luke ran strong!
Caleb was all EDC - 12th Place!
Varsity Boys - 2nd Place as a team by only 9 points!
Coach of the Year - Fargo North’s very own Coach Mailloux!
And our rowdy crowd was obviously unmatched!
From start to finish, a Banner Day!
