Milestone!

Yes, the Y. Crew has hit a HUGE milestone this summer!

Drum roll…

Our last fish found her fins!

MILESTONE…Dad and Mom no longer have to get in at the pool!

Clearly, we have mastered swimming independently, but following directions is still a work in progress!

All in all, another fun year of splashing around as much as possible at the Fargo Public Pools!

  

 

Dad’s question, “How many years til we can read a book at the pool?”

At this rate, that milestone will be in the books before we know it!

Luke’s Babe Ruth baseball team wrapped up the year with two victories (Yahooooo!)

and team fire up bags…

What an awesome way to wrap up a great baseball season!

What fun kids! What fun families!

Some how we were lucky enough to find an evening to meet our local friends with old, new or promised blessings from China!

Picnic, playing and visiting at Lindenwood park!

As expected,

was awesome tonight!

Unexpectedly,

the concessions were such a hit that we even got “refills” at intermission!  Even Dad could not resist the extra large freezer pop!

   

Favorite character…hands down DONKEY!

Mark asked after the show,

“Will there be a show like this next year?”

“Yes.”

“Donkey HAS TO be in it.”

We will take a refill on the Trollwood musical next year!

Almost Famous

Luke’s baseball team was famous at the RedHawks game this evening!

Brothers of the baseball stars, Mark and Maddox, were not impressed with the taste of stardom, BUT they were impressed with the playground adjacent to the baseball field :/ 

Take me out to the T-Ball game!

What do you get when you have the Yokom dynamic duo,

 

a great line up and

the T-Ball coach of the year (unofficial)?

"It could be, it might be, It is! A home run!"

Yep, a home run team having a home run season!

First up to bat for the home run team, Jayne Yokom.  Yes folks, she is wearing a skirt.

She takes her stance,

She swings and then takes a moment to pose for the camera,

and despite all this she is able to make it to 1st base to receive a high five from Coach!

Next up to bat, a big slugger (with “hockey hair”)…Markie Yokom!

Fishy, Fishy Take a Look-

Too cold for another day on the river (only in ND), so we grabbed our sweatshirts,

some worms (Brynn referring to herself as worm girl ever since),

  

  

and our rods.

    

Gramma did a VERY LENGTHY jingle of which I can remember 10 of the 100 words…

“Fishy, Fishy take a look.  Fishy, Fishy at my hook.”

Well, the jingle must have been good luck because…
